It’s about to cost more to take a cab in Regina.
City council passed a 3.8 per cent fare increase which will take effect March 25.
That works out to be an extra $1.10 for each 10 km but the drop rate hasn’t changed. The meter will continue to start running at $4.
The reason for the increase is for new technology like security cameras and GPS along with the rising cost of insurance, vehicle maintenence/repairs and wages.
